Satellites Series: A Sizzling, Sonic Celebration of Sun Ra

Philadelphia Jazz Project in collaboration with WRTI radio host, J. Michael Harrison present, Satellites Are Spinning: A Sizzling, Sonic Celebration of Sun Ra: A concert series. The series featured eight performances at some of the region's most important venues including; The Barnes Foundation, Ardmore Music Hall, Johnny Brenda's, The Planetarium of The Franklin Institute and World Cafe Live. For this series, I created and performed live visuals inspired by the works of Sun Ra. The “spacey” visuals were a college of original animation as well as clips of NASA footage and old educational films.
