Sounds of the Circle
Animation, projection mapping and visual performance
Award-winning jazz composer and saxophonist Odean Pope presented an evening-length suite, evoking neighborhood histories and the musical ideas of Philadelphia jazz innovators of the mid-20th-century. For this performance I created original art and video inspired by the Odean’s compositions. The visuals were performed live and projected onto screens that I custom built. The performances took place at both The Barnes Museum, La Rose Jazz Club in Philadelphia.
